Developers stand ready to infuse new energy into
several neighborhoods in Dallas that either have been long neglected
or are just getting a foothold.
But Propositions 1 and 2 threaten to stop these
projects just as they are about to move forward … or significantly
delay their future phases.
Why? Because they all will require tax incentives
to achieve their full potential. If any of these projects seeks
more than $1 million in incentives, Proposition 2 will require
the City of Dallas to hold a city-wide election if just 500 people
sign a petition demanding it.
And if any of these projects hopes to include
some type of hotel within its boundaries, Proposition 1 will prohibit
the city from assisting it with its financing.
That’s why we’re going to Vote NO! on
Propositions 1 and 2 on May 9.
Learn more about these intriguing projects, which
hope to make Dallas an even more dynamic metropolis …
